The key to insulating glass production is clean glass, and if dirt remains on it, it can be very problematic (transparency issue).
Flat glass washing machines designed for cleaning glass sheets can be arranged either vertically or horizontally. Vertical glass washing machines are more popular due to their smaller space requirement and larger processed glass size. This is mainly because these machines are usually constructed with an open top guard so that the glass sheets can stick out of the machine guards increasing the maximum washable glass size. Horizontal machines do not have these advantages, and they are mainly used in addition to horizontal glass processing lines, such as hardening or lamination. Glass washing machines can be fitted with one, two or three pairs of brushes, or with so-called soft-brushes for coating protection in the case of insulating glass production.
